Man, I haven’t posted a journal entry since January 12th, 2008! So Since I’d like to post something at least once a year (LOL) I thought I’d have a little fun and reminisce on my love affair with Photoshop

Oh Photoshop, you came into my life just over two years ago, yet I didn’t take you seriously until late into November of 2008. Yes it was then that we started our courtship, and created our first digital painting together. In this past year we’ve done many pieces together and yet, it is only now that I feel I am starting to know you.

Yes, you’re everything I could want and more in a ridiculously over priced piece of software. And while I sadly did have that momentary lapse of judgment when I went after your cousin Painter X, I realize that you’re the true digital painting software for me. Even with all of Painter X’s promises of texture and a larger color wheel, with an upgrade to Painter 11, I realize that you’ll always be there for me, and will always be able to run smoothly and never crash on me, even if I decide to paint on a canvas with dimensions that exceed 6,000 pixels.

Yes Photoshop, you complete me artistically, and with time, commitment, and when it’s available, I promise that one day I’ll upgrade you to CS 5. So here’s to our one year anniversary Photoshop and many more to come!
